Golf |
There are now four golf courses
within a short drive of both Jacinto and La Piedra. They are much
less crowded than those on the Costa Del Sol and Costa Blanca and
generally a lot cheaper – green fees range from 40-80 Euros.
|
|
Desert Springs shown here
is the first American style desert course in Europe and well worth
a visit - also we have been very impressed with the spectacular Valle
del Este (just outside Vera). Marina de la Torre is a resort course
between Mojacar Playa and Garrucha . |
 |
The longest established
course (and I think the most picturesque) is Cortijo Grande. It is
at present only a 9 holes but the new owners plan to bring it back
to its original 18 hole status this year. Jacinto is situated overlooking
this course which is set in amongst orange, lemon and almond groves.
The club runs a number of competitions in which visitors are welcome
to participate. |
Swimming/Water Sports |
|
 |
 |
 |
 |
Los Limoneros at the Jardines de Agua (600yds
from Jacinto) is a restaurant/bar with a large pool and sun loungers,
which is open to the public. El Pinar (between Bedar and the motorway)
also has restaurant with a large pool and sun terrace. |
 |
The Aqua park just outside Garrucha offers
a fun day out for those with children or just the young at heart.
There are miles of good beaches all the way from Majorca Playa to
Garrucha and beyond, Majorca Playa itself offering a variety of water
sports in the high season. |
